H3lx started DJing in 2000, with his first major gig coming less than 2 years after getting his first set of decks. This was at the now defunct Escape @ Temple Theatre, where he played warmup in to UK superstars Anne Savage and Judge Jules. Several more gigs came at Escape, standing in for the absent Marco V in March of 2003.

As the gigs came and went, H3lx began to get more and more into the production end of things, following play on national radio, and massive support from Italian DJ Joy Kitikonti. Now a qualified sound engineer, he’s preparing to study for a Masters in Music Technology. The first H3lx release came in February of 2005, as part of a remix package for Joy Kitikonti’s “Joydontstop 2005″. At its peak, the record reached number 4 in the Tuneinn.com sales charts.
